Offers for Alumni

As a member of the Alumni Network of the University of Bonn you have the possibility to use your existing @uni-bonn.de address as a forwarding address even after your time at the University of Bonn has ended. All incoming e-mails will then be forwarded directly to another e-mail address of your choice. This way you will still be reachable for your contacts. However, you can no longer send mails from your @uni-bonn.de address.

This is how the conversion of your e-mail address to a forwarding address works:

You can convert your @uni-bonn.de e-mail address into a forwarding email yourself. As soon as you receive an email from the University Computer Center that your email address will be deactivated shortly, you can fill out a change application form on the HRZ website. This will guide you through the process of converting your email address to a forwarding address. Before completing this process, please be sure to back up all data from your webmail account locally, as you will no longer have access to it once the conversion is complete.

Do you want to set up a new forwarding address?

If you are a current or former member of the University of Bonn, who wished to request a forwarding address but has not received a @uni-bonn.de mail address during their time at the university, please proceed as follows: Send an email to alumni@uni-bonn.de containing the following information.
  • Your name,
  • the desired @uni-bonn.de forwarding address and
  • the address to which you want it to be forwarded to.

Important: Please keep your data in the Alumni Portal up to date. We can only offer this service to members whom we can reach electronically and by post. Forwarding addresses of members for whom this is not the case will be deleted.
Subscribe to our newsletter and the online edition of the university newspaper "forsch" and stay up to date.
Some of our departmental or regional groups also offer their own services (mailing lists) to which you can subscribe. You decide which services you would like to subscribe to. Under the menu item "My Profile" you always have an overview of your subscriptions.

You can find our current and past newsletters in the newsletter archive.
Shortly after joining the alumni network, you will receive your personal alumni card by mail. With this card you can take advantage of special conditions and offers at our partner organizations during visits in and around Bonn. Detailed information on the individual offers can be found in the member area after logging in.
