Alumni support Students: The Deutschlandstipendium

Studying can be life-changing for young people: it broadens horizons, shapes character and opens up life and career paths. Often however, the opportunities to fully concentrate on a course of study are restricted by limited financial resources. Scholarship support can have a big impact here: more time to study, funds to purchase additional learning materials, opportunity for extracurricular involvement, the means to gain experience abroad, and much more.

Double effect of your donation

With the Deutschlandstipendium, your donation has a double effect: the federal government takes over half of the funding for each privately donated scholarship. Each scholarship holder thus receives 300 euros per month, of which 150 euros come from private donations and 150 euros from the federal government. In addition, your donation is tax-deductible.

The Bonn alumni community for our students

This is where the strength of our Bonn alumni community comes into play: in addition to the possibility of donating a full scholarship (1,800 euros per year), many smaller amounts can also have a big impact. Your alumni network and the Bonn University Foundation collect all incoming donations - whenever a sum of 1,800 euros is reached, another scholarship can be awarded at the University of Bonn.
